Privacy Policy

Summary

HomePokerHero (“the Service”) helps you run private poker tournaments and leagues. We collect the data you enter, the data needed to run your events, and the minimum we need to charge for paid subscriptions. We don't sell your data and we don't run third-party ad networks.

What we collect

• Account info: email, optional display name, optional avatar image, optional payout preference (e.g., a Venmo handle).
• Group and event data: groups you create or join, members, season and event details, blind structures, seating, entries (buy-ins/rebuys/add-ons), eliminations, agreements, payouts, and announcements you record.
• Authentication: a hashed password (if you set one), and short-lived magic-link tokens sent to your email.
• Billing: if you subscribe, your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. Card numbers are handled by Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Operational logs: standard server logs (timestamps, IP addresses, requests) for security and debugging.

How we use it

• To operate the Service and let you run your games.
• To send transactional emails (sign-in links, billing receipts, event-related messages you authorize).
• To enforce subscription limits and prevent abuse.
• To improve the product. Aggregated usage data may inform feature decisions.

Who we share with

• Stripe — subscription billing and customer portal.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting, file storage (S3), and email delivery (SES).
• Other members of your group/event — your display name, RSVP, seat, entries, eliminations, and payouts are visible to other participants in events you join, as the product is designed.

We do not sell personal data and we don't run third-party advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser localStorage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Your choices

• Access and correction: view and edit your profile and event data from inside the app.
• Deletion: contact us to delete your account and the data you own; data tied to events with other participants may be retained for the integrity of historical records.
• Email: transactional emails are required for the Service to function; we don't send marketing emails by default.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, financial, or operational reasons (e.g., billing records).

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged in-app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
