Terms of Service
Last updated: May 11, 2026
1. The Service
HomePokerHero (“the Service”) is software for organizing private home-poker tournaments and leagues: events, blind clocks, seating, entries, eliminations, and payouts. The Service is a record-keeping and operations tool. It is not a gambling operator, does not accept or distribute money, and does not custody funds. Any cash, chips, or payments exchanged in connection with your games are entirely between you and your players.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You're responsible for activity under your account, including keeping your magic-link emails and password (if any) confidential.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Run commercial gambling, public gaming, or any activity that violates the gambling laws of your jurisdiction.
- Engage in fraud, money laundering, harassment, or any unlawful activity.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Upload content you don't have the rights to, or content that is illegal, harassing, or obscene.
Legality is your responsibility. Poker laws vary by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any game you organize through the Service is permitted where it takes place.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- The Service has a free tier and paid (Pro) tiers. Free-tier limits are shown on the pricing page and may change.
- Pro subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. Refunds are not guaranteed but we'll consider reasonable requests on a case-by-case basis.
- Prices may change with notice. Existing subscribers will see any price increase apply to the next renewal after notice.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the data you put into the Service (group info, event details, results, etc.). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display it to other participants of the events you create, as needed to operate the Service.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to the Service or other users. We'll give reasonable notice except in cases of suspected fraud, illegal activity, or imminent harm.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free results, or that the Service will meet your specific requirements. Tournament outcomes are ultimately determined at your table, not by our software.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomePokerHero's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill).
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
